Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Why is professional carpet cleaning better than renting a machine and doing it yourself?

A. Carpet cleaning machines available for rent to high street consumers cannot match professional cleaning equipment for deep cleaning power. Most of them will only surface clean your carpet without removing the dirt embedded deep within the carpet pile. Moreover, not all carpets are the same; it requires the experience of a professional carpet cleaner to assess the type of carpet you have and then decide on the best cleaning method to use for it.

Q. Can I get an estimate over the phone?

A. There are many factors and variables to consider when requesting an estimate for carpet cleaning, and most reliable professional cleaners will want to perform an in-person inspection in order to give you an accurate estimate. If a carpet cleaning company quotes you an extremely low price over the phone, they may not be the best choice so be wary.  If something seems too good to be true, it usually is.

Q. How often should I have my carpet cleaned?

 A. This depends somewhat on the daily activities in your household. Carpeting in most homes needs a professional cleaning at least every 12 months. High traffic areas may require more frequent cleaning. New carpeting should be professionally cleaned within the first year of purchase.

Q. How can I keep my carpet in good condition between cleanings?

A. Thorough vacuuming at least twice a week is key; more often in very high traffic areas is advisable. When vacuuming, be sure to go over each area more than once, moving the vacuum slowly, which allows it to pull up as much soil as possible. Also, be sure to clean up all spills promptly, and do not allow them to seep into the carpet.

Q. What if the manufacturer's tag on my sofa says to dry clean?

A. In this case, the upholstery fabric will require a more delicate process. Our upholstery cleaning technicians know exactly what type of cleaning is best for your furniture fabric, and will always use a procedure that will leave your upholstery unharmed, and in optimum condition.

Q. How can I can I maintain my newly-cleaned upholstery?

A. We offer a protective treatment that resists stains and keeps your furniture looking fresh and clean longer. Regular vacuuming with an upholstery attachment is also very helpful.

Q. Can I spot clean my furniture myself?

A. We do not recommend Do-It-Yourself spot cleaning on furniture.  It is difficult to determine the effect that store-bought cleaning solutions will have on the upholstery fabric, and there is always the possibility of causing a stain to deepen and spread.

Q. Do you offer a guarantee of your services?
